Hardcore Gamer Akira 2: The Revenge Chapter 7
Chapter 7 Mr. Mystery was taken into the Yakuza’s hideaway with his arms handcuffed behind his back. Sasuke and the other Yakuza members had him surrounded in case he tried a sudden attack. Kaito saw the unwanted guest and wanted answers. “What happened?” Kaito demanded. “This wannabe pro wrestler interfered with our business,” Sasuke answered as he kicked Mr. Mystery’s calf muscle, causing him to fall to his knees. “He helped Akira and Kenji Kojiro get out of their apartment when we had them dead to rights. Thankfully, Vladimir managed to give chase to them. He should back with their heads any minute now.” “Tell me, what is your name?” Kaito asked Mr. Mystery. “My name is of no concern to you,” Mr. Mystery defiantly replied. “Oh, a wise guy, eh?” Sasuke said sarcastically. “You think you’re very clever because you hide behind a mask. Well, let’s just see what you look like without the mask!” Sasuke grabbed the mask and tried pulling it off. However, no matter how hard he tried,

Chapter 6 Vladimir and Sasuke entered Kaito’s office at the Yakuza’s hideaway. Kaito was on his cellphone, writing down what he was being told over the phone on a piece of paper. Once he had finished writing down what he was told, he ended the call and stood up from behind his desk. “Tell me that’s what I think it is,” Vladimir said. “The address of the apartment where Akira and Kenji Kojiro live,” Kaito confirmed as he walked towards Vladimir and Sasuke. “You’ve waited a long time for this.” “Yes, I have,” Vladimir replied. “Sasuke, take Vladimir and four of our men,” Kaito commanded as he gave his son the piece of paper with the address written on it. “That should be enough to get the job done.” “Why not more just to make sure?” Vladimir asked. “We don’t want to attract too much attention,” Sasuke pointed out to Vladimir. “Don’t let your lust for revenge cloud your judgement. We need to get out unnoticed afterwards.” “That shouldn’t be a problem,” Vladimir replied. “Just like

Hardcore Gamer Akira 2: The Revenge Chapter 5
Chapter 5 As I walked through Tokyo now unemployed, I found myself at a mental crossroad. Being thrown out of my profession put me in a unique dilemma. I knew I couldn’t seek employment with another video game studio given the fact that I was still a teenager, and they wouldn’t consider hiring me despite my qualifications as a consultant with SolidStar Gaming Studios. Since I was still high school aged, my prospects for employment would be severely limited. I passed by various businesses hoping that one of them would have a “Help Wanted” sign on their window. Unfortunately, I didn’t see any such signs. Not even the fast-food restaurants I passed by were looking for new employees. The only thing worse than being unemployed is not having any other businesses hiring to compensate. I eventually made my way to Gaming Heaven on Earth. Like all the other businesses I walked by, they weren’t hiring. As much as I enjoyed playing arcade games, I couldn’t bring myself to play any games. There

Chapter 4 My father and I didn’t know what to expect when we arrived at work the following day. With Ryo Kure no longer alive, there was no telling how the other workers would react. After all, no one knew what his brother was like. Once we arrived on our floor, no one was talking to each other. I guess they were waiting for Kohaku to arrive and make some announcements on what direction the company would go. My father and I took our seats at our desk and went to work. “So, when do you think we should call a meeting to discuss the final details of Galactic Fighters Forever 2?” I asked my father. “Once Kohaku arrives,” my father answered. “He’ll need to get up to speed with our progress. Hopefully, he won’t demand any major changes and cause us to delay the game’s release.” A few minutes later, Kohaku arrived. Everyone stood up as a show of respect to him. We followed suit to show our unity with SolidStar Gaming Studios. “As you all were,” Kohaku instructed. “I’ll be addressing all

Chapter 3 When I got back to my apartment, I saw my father watching TV. He was watching the highlights of my match with Fubuki that happened earlier. It seemed to be the main story on the news. My father eventually noticed me. “You and Fubuki sure made a big mess over at the stadium today,” my father said. “All we did was overload an arcade cabinet,” I replied. “I don’t see how that’s a ‘big mess’.” “The two of you did more than destroy a cabinet, Akira,” my father pointed out. “Both of you caused the jumbotron to freeze up as well. They had to get technical support to fix the glitch.” “What was I supposed to do, let Fubuki beat me?” I demanded. “No, of course not,” my father answered. “But there are more responsible ways when it comes to playing an arcade game, Akira.” “I had to even the odds somehow,” I replied. “My Passion Boxers allow me to use the same Passionate Gaming Energy as Fubuki’s Passion Panties. It was the only way to stand a chance against her.” “Speaking of
